THE PRESCRIPTION ACCURACY GUARANTEE PROCEDURE.... Dr. Lee goes through several complicated and extracting processes to determine the best eyewear prescription for your unique visual situation. The prescription is then taken by our Frame and Lens Experts and analyzed so that the best possible lens, lens treatments, and frame materials are chosen to maximize the performance and comfort of your eyewear. Next, the Frame and Lens Experts will take several measurements to make certain that the lens optical centers, bifocal placement, and edge thickness are all exactly as they should be for the best possible performance of the prescription and cosmetic enhancement of the glasses. Finally, when the finished product is received from the lab, our experts will diligently test your eyewear to certify that they are exactly as ordered and will certify that they meet or exceed all American Nation Standard Institute (ANSI) guidelines for prescription accuracy and material integrity. We guarantee that you will receive what we prescribe so you never have to worry if the prescription is right! Your total satisfaction is our utmost concern, and we're serious about assuring it! |

Annual eye exams are vital to maintaining your vision and overall health. Midtown Optometry offers the Optomap® Retinal Exam as an important part of our eye exams. The Optomap® Retinal Exam produces an image that is as unique as you fingerprint and provides Dr. Lee with a wide view to look at the health of your retina. The retina is the part of your eye that captures the image of what you are looking at, similar to film in a camera. Many eye problems can develop without you knowing. You may not even notice any change in your sight. But, diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinal tears or detachments, and other health problems such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be seen with a thorough exam of the retina. Click Here to See a Movie Explaining the Optomap System An Optomap® Retinal Exam provides: - A scan to show a healthy eye or detect disease.
- A view of the retina, giving your doctor a more detailed view than he/she can get by other means.
- The opportunity for you to view and discuss the Optomap® image of your eye with your doctor at the time of your exam.
- A permanent record for your file, which allows Dr. Lee to view your images each year to look for changes.
The Optomap® Retinal Exam is fast, easy, and comfortable for all ages. To have the exam, you simply look into the device one eye at a time and you will see a comfortable flash of light to let you know the image of your retina has been taken. The Optomap® image is shown immediately on a computer screen so we can review it with you. Please schedule your Optomap® Retinal Exam today! For more information on the Optomap® Retinal Exam, go to the Optos website at www.optos.com |

First Eye Exam at 6 Months OldAn eye assessment between six and 12 months of age is recommended to determine if an infant is at risk for eye or vision disorders. Call Now To Schedule Yor Baby's First Eye Exam Since many eye problems arise from conditions that can be identified by an eye doctor in the infant's first year of life, a parent can give an infant a great gift by seeking an infant eye health assessment in addition to the wellness evaluation of the eyes that is done by a pediatrician or family practice doctor. One in every 10 children is at risk from undiagnosed eye and vision problems, yet only 13 percent of mothers with children younger than 2 years of age said they had taken their babies to see an eye and vision care professional for a regular check-up or well-care visit. Moreover, many children at risk for eye and vision problems are not being identified at an early age, when many of those problems might be prevented or more easily corrected. Some 4.02 million children were born in 2004, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. In approximately 4 percent, strabismus will develop, and amblyopia will develop in 3 percent-this equates to as many as 100,000 infants born each year who are at risk for serious eye and vision problems. Early intervention is critical to successful and cost-effective treatment. Despite the nation's present system of preschool vision screening, there exists a lack of understanding by the public of the importance of periodic professional eye and vision assessments. Unfortunately, during the course of their young lives, most children probably never see an eye care practitioner who can provide the kind of professional eye assessment necessary to identify critical eye and vision problems at an early stage, explain those conditions to parents, and provide the care necessary to correct those problems. Schedule your baby's first eye exam today by contacting our office at (209) 957-8000. |
