Dr. Derron Lee is also a Stockton native.  He graduated from Tokay High School in 1993.

He received his Bachelors of Science in Physiology from the University of California Davis in 1998.

In 2003, he earned his Doctor of Optometry Degree from the State University of New York, College of Optometry.

Dr. Lee received the presitgious award of California's Young Optometrist of the Year in 2008 from the California Optometric Association.  Optometrists who have made significant contributions to their profession and their community are given this award.  His wife, Dr. Leanne Lee, received this award in 2009! 

When Dr. Lee provides a comprehensive eye health evaluations for the entire family, patients often learn something new about their eyes they have never known.  Dr. Lee strives to make his patient's experience an unforgettable one.

During the eye health evaluation, he addresses all the needs of his patients and prescribes his recommendations based on the examination findings.  Dr. Lee educates his patients about the findings in a thorough and easy to understand manner.  He sends an email a video report of the findings to all of his patients, so they can learn more about their eye health and vision issues.  Dr. Lee takes it a step further by sending a report to the patient's primary care physician.  Dr. Lee along with his optical team will then customize a lens package that would fit his patient's lifestyle and needs.  And since eye health is very important, Dr. Lee will reserve an appointment slot for his patient's annual eye health examination.    

For patients interested in Laser surgery, Dr. Lee has a great relationship with the surgeons from Premier Laser Eye Center.  Dr. Lee comanages the laser surgeries with Dr. Joe Zeiter and Dr. John Canzano of Zeiter Eye Medical Group; Dr. Lee provides the pre-operative and post-operative care while Dr. Zeiter and Dr. Canzano perform the laser surgery.  Dr. Lee has personally used Dr. Joe Zeiter and Dr. John Canzano for his family, including Dr. Leanne Lee.  

Dr. Lee loves the challenge of difficult contact lens evaluations.  He stays in tune with the new contact lens technology.  With so many options for contact lenses, not all lenses in the market today will be the best fit for every patient.  He offers the custom hybrid Synergeyes contact lens evaluations for his patients.  (www.synergeyes.com).

Dr. Lee loves new technology and continually adds new diagnostic equipment.  With his diagnostic equipment, he is able to diagnose and treat medically related eye conditions.  He received his ocular disease training from the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Brooklyn, New York and Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, CA.

He holds active membership in the California Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and is a Board Member as President of the San Joaquin Optometric Society.

Dr. Derron Lee is a huge philanthropist; he loves giving back to the community.  

He currently volunteers his time at the St. Mary's Interfaith Community Center as the Eye Clinic Physician.  He also provides eye health care for the United Farm Workers Association. 

He has worked with several non-profit organizations:  serving Christmas dinners at the Stockton Emergency Food Bank, collecting eyeglasses for the Lion's Club, helped build a library for the Child Abuse Prevention Center, and helped local 5th and 6th grade students go to Science Camp in Jones Gulch by donating portions of the office proceeds. 

Dr. Lee loves meeting new people everyday.  He would often say, "A stranger is a new friend that I haven't met before."  That is why he is extremely active in all Chambers of Commerce in Stockton:  Greater Chamber, Hispanic Chamber, Asian Chamber.  He is currently becoming more involved with the Rotary Club in Stockton as well. 

Dr. Lee enjoys many outdoor activities; golfing, stunt kiting, snowboarding, wakeboarding, camping, scuba diving, and road/mountain biking.

But most of all, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.  He is proud to be a Father-To-Be... Logan Orion Lee is due on May 2, 2010!!
